Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Vision Source of Oneonta the leading provider of vision care products and services in Oneonta.

Gene Harrison, OD

Dr. Harrison graduated from the UAB School Of Optometry in 1991. He has locations here in Oneonta and also Grayson Valley and Rainbow City. He has served on the Board of the Alabama Optometric Association, The Board of the Kiwanis Club, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Vision America and is Administrator for Vision Source in Alabama. Dr. Harrison has completed the Southern Diplomat Course for the management and treatment of glaucoma and specializes in adult and pediatric vision care. He was named Young Optometrist of the Year in 2000.

Dr. Sarah Bui is an optometrist dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with specialized expertise in Dry Eye, Pediatrics, Ocular Disease, and Specialty Contact Lenses.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Bui graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University with a degree in Computer Science before earning her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Bui’s clinical training included externships at Salisbury Eyecare and Eyewear, Eyecare Associates, Commerce Family Eyecare, and Georgia Eye Partners. This training focused on comprehensive eye exams and complex disease management, allowing her to diagnose and treat conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She provides pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing various ocular surgeries, including refractive and cataract procedures.

Outside of optometry, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending quality time with her husband and their two dogs. A passionate crafter, she divides her free time between pottery, crocheting, and exploring new creative pursuits that capture her interest.
